This is the first of two perisaltic pumps I want to disable the "drip-sensing" feature of its circuit. The pump is manufactured by Novartis Nutrition. It is a "COMPAT feeding pump", model number 199235. Where it is marked with the number 1, is the location of the drip sensor.
After the sensor is removed, I found it to be comprised of two parts, labeled A and B. I'm guessing the parts do the actual "drip-sensing" are photo diodes. They look identical and each one has one long and one short leg (maybe they're cathode and anode similar to LEDs).
